What a clinic is actually buying

A reader arrives here with a question about their eyes, not a question about your clinic. By the time they reach the directory they have read how SMILE Pro works, what determines suitability, what a quote should contain and what can go wrong. That reader is harder to reach with advertising and easier to help with information.

What we offer is a place in that reading. We are not owned by a clinic or a laser manufacturer, and we may receive a referral fee when a reader contacts a participating clinic. That fee does not depend on what our guides say, and it is disclosed on every page of the site.

What we check before a clinic appears

Our directory holds fewer clinics than a commercial listing site, and that is the point. A profile is published once its factual claims have been checked against a primary source: a licence record, the clinic's own published information, or the relevant health authority.

  • The licence, at facility and surgeon level

Who licensed, and on what register. Where a licence reference is published we record it, so a reader can look it up rather than take our word for it.

  • The platform physically installed on site

Asked as a direct question, because "SMILE Pro" is a procedure name and not a confirmation of hardware. Which generation is installed is the single most common thing patients ask us to explain.

  • Which procedures the clinic actually performs

Listed from the clinic rather than from a brochure, and kept to the treatments someone can be assessed for rather than every service the group offers.

  • Only the prices the clinic publishes itself

We do not invent a figure, estimate one, or copy one from another clinic. Where a price is per eye rather than for both, the profile says which.

  • A named route for corrections

A patient, a colleague, or a regulator should be able to tell us something on your profile is wrong. Every field is meant to be checkable by the reader, and that cut only works if there is somewhere to send a correction.

A gap is published as a gap

Where a field cannot be verified yet, it is shown as an explicit placeholder rather than filled with an estimate. That is deliberate, and it works in your favour once the record is complete: a patient reading a verified profile knows which parts of it someone checked.

How we verify clinic and surgeon data

How it works

Four steps, and only the first one is yours.

  1. Send the clinic details

The form below asks for business contact details and what the clinic has installed. It does not ask for patient information or clinical outcomes, so there is nothing sensitive to assemble first.

  2. We check the licence and the platform

This usually means a short exchange: who holds the facility licence, who operates, which platform is in the building, and which treatments you want listed. We will tell you what we could not confirm and why.

  3. The profile goes live

Fields we could not verify are published as visibly empty rather than filled with an estimate. A gap in a profile reads as a fact about our verification, and it can be closed whenever you can supply the source.

  4. Enquiries reach you, with the page they came from

Each enquiry carries what the reader said they were researching and how they asked to be contacted. Nothing about them is published or sold, and no clinical detail is collected at this stage.

    How verification works

What a clinic cannot buy

This matters more than the list above, and it is worth being blunt about it. A commercial relationship with SmilePro.ae does not include any of the following:

  • Sell a position in a guide, a comparison table or a review summary.
  • Remove a safety note, shorten a risks section, or edit what our guide says about SMILE Pro.
  • Publish patient testimonials, outcome figures or review scores on your behalf.
  • Promise a number of enquiries or patients. Nobody can promise that, and a clinic being asked to trust such a number is a warning sign about whoever is selling it.

If a page contains something a clinic would rather we had not written, it stays in. We would rather lose a listing than publish a clinic profile a patient cannot rely on.

Tell us about your clinic

Send the details below and we will come back to you to confirm the licence record, the platform installed on site and what a listing would include.

If the clinic publishes its prices or platform information, include the page. It saves a round of questions.
What does the clinic offer?
Which laser platform is installed on site?
Asked because a patient reading a profile will ask it. Speaking to an installed platform, or its absence, is a question that is better answered now than after a listing is live.
What are you looking for?
Sponsorship is labelled as sponsorship wherever it appears. It does not buy placement in a guide, a comparison or a review summary, and it cannot remove a safety note.

These are business contact details, used to verify the clinic and reply to you. Please do not send patient information or clinical records through this form.

Looking for treatment rather than a listing? Request a consultation instead. This form reaches the editorial and listings team, not a clinic.

Questions clinics ask us

Does a listing cost the clinic anything?

Being considered for a listing costs nothing. Any sponsorship is a separate and optional arrangement, quoted per campaign and agreed in writing before it starts. Nothing about your clinic is published until you have agreed to what is published.

What does a sponsored profile change?

It is labelled as sponsored at the top of the profile, and it is visible to more readers. It does not change a guide, a comparison table, a review summary or a risk section, and it does not move your clinic up any editorial list, because there is no ranking to move in.

How long does verification take?

It depends on how quickly the licence record and the platform can be confirmed, and on whether anyone at the clinic is available to confirm them. We publish when verification is done rather than on a promised date.

Can we write the profile ourselves?

You can supply facts, corrections, and the wording your clinic uses for its own services. The profile itself is written and kept by us, and the fields that matter to a patient are stated in one format so two clinics can be compared without translation.

Who do we contact?

Any question about a listing, a correction or a sponsorship goes to clinics@smilepro.ae, or through the form below. That address reaches the listings and editorial team, not a clinic, which is why it is separate from the patient enquiry form.
